Executioner Katana 1.0 - ZGB (Preorder)
The Executioner Katana 1.0
Designed by Chuck Meré and Charles “The Executioner” Fultz
The Executioner Katana 1.0 was purpose-built by the founders of Zombie Go Boom.
This is their cutting configuration.
Their steel choice.
Their durability threshold.
Their performance standard.
Built for the way they test.
Built for the way they cut.
Approved for release after internal destructive testing.
Built for Force
Built for force.
Built for failure tolerance.
Built to cut when everything else hesitates.
This is not a showpiece. It is not balanced for ceremony. It is not thinned for competition.
It was configured for survival-grade cutting and sustained impact.
If you want elegant tradition, look elsewhere.
If you want steel that holds up when technique breaks down, you are in the right place.
Built for Heavy Cutting
This is not a decorative katana.
It was configured specifically for aggressive cutting, survival use, and impact tolerance.
The blade is forged from 9260 spring steel, selected for one reason: resilience.
Spring steel flexes under stress and returns to true. It tolerates bad angles better than harder, more brittle steels. It survives imperfect technique. It survives repetition.
There is no groove.
A fuller reduces weight. It also removes structural mass. This blade keeps its spine thick and intact for maximum durability.
If you are a master, it rewards clean cuts.
If you are new, it still cuts.
If your edge alignment is not perfect, it will not punish you with catastrophic failure.
This blade was built for use, not ceremony.

Care & Maintenance
This blade is high-carbon spring steel.
High-carbon steel will rust if neglected.
To maintain performance and longevity:
• Wipe the blade clean after each use
• Apply a light coat of oil before storage
• Store in a dry environment
• Do not leave the blade inside the saya for long-term storage if moisture is present
• Inspect the edge regularly
Avoid:
• Cutting hard metal objects
• Striking concrete, stone, or cinder blocks
• Twisting the blade under load
• Using it as a pry bar
This katana is built for heavy cutting, not misuse outside its intended purpose.
Proper maintenance ensures the blade remains resilient, sharp, and structurally sound.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a real, fully functional katana?
Yes.
This is a sharpened, full tang, 9260 spring steel blade built for heavy cutting. It is not decorative and not intended for display-only use.
Is this good for beginners?
Yes.
This blade was configured to be forgiving. The 9260 spring steel tolerates imperfect edge alignment better than harder, more brittle steels.
That does not replace training. It simply means the blade is resilient under less-than-perfect use.
Why does it not have a groove?
A groove removes material to reduce weight.
We intentionally kept the spine solid to increase structural mass and impact tolerance. This configuration prioritizes durability over aesthetics.
Is this battle ready?
This blade is built for heavy cutting.
It is not designed for metal-on-metal contact, prying, or striking concrete. Proper use and maintenance are required to preserve performance.
Does it come sharpened?
Yes.
The blade is hand sharpened and ready for cutting use upon arrival.
Handle with care.
Why 9260 instead of 1095?
1095 is known for hardness and edge retention, but it is more brittle under shock.
9260 is spring steel.
Spring steel flexes and returns under load. It tolerates imperfect cuts and repeated heavy use better than harder steels.
For this configuration, durability and forgiveness were prioritized over maximum hardness.
Why is there no visible hamon?
A traditional hamon comes from differential hardening.
Differential hardening increases edge hardness but can increase brittleness under certain stress.
This katana uses through-hardened 9260 spring steel to prioritize durability and structural consistency.
No artificial hamon.
No cosmetic temper line.
Performance was prioritized over tradition.
